Well hello and Merry Christmas Eve to all my favorite BlogHers and Hims!  I hope everyone has been having a blessed Holiday season and has been able to spend quality family and friends time (its the best isn’t it!) Here’s a small glimpse into my current life if you’re interested…oh and I will detail a small giveaway at the bottome of this post =)

Love

Had an amazing time as usual with my family on Christmas Eve.  My Dad’s side of the family always goes to my grandmothers after church for dinner.  We do a present exchange and swap which is always very entertaining.  Seriously I love my big family and can’t wait to spend Christmas with them tomorrow as well.

So Bug looks slightly demonic but I love his big blue eyes and Peanut's beautiful smile and dress. My godkids are the greatest =)

Run

So today’s attempt at a workout=epic fail.  Woke up and headed to the gym to go to the “treading” class I really like because there is still so much ice on the sidewalks and trails and I fall enough as it is…but me and the other usual treaders sat around the treadhells (aka treadmills but I hate them) for a while and 15 mins later still no instructor.  We asked the front desk and they said all classes were supposed to be help as scheduled?  Oh well…I needed to run to the pharmacy and a few other errands before they closed early today so I decided to go get that down then come back to the gym for my run.  I forgot the gym closes at 1 on Christmas Eve so when I got back at 11:45 it was a MOB SCENE!  Why is it that every person in the world decides to workout on Holidays.  I spent a good 15 mins scoping out an open treadhell and finally one opened up so I snatched it.  Ok, I don’t mind people talking to cell phones while working out…but I CANNOT STAND people who sing along with their Ipod or yell at themselves while they run!  I mean ok the guy next to my left was pulling out some intense 7 min miles but did he HAVE to scream “YEAH MAN YOU GOT THIS GOOOOO!”every 3 minutes! The guy on my right was a rather overweight older man singing rather loudly to various country songs.  I just couldn’t get in my zone and finally came to the conclusion that a run just wasn’t in the cards for me today.  Defeated I headed home…but the little bit of good news is Christmas came early!  When I got home I realized amazon had sent me a little present a day early =)

Do you think reading this counts as my run for the day? Eh, oh well I tried.

Pray

I absolutely LOVE church on Christmas Eve.  I love the Christmas songs and hymns, the decorations, the little kids dressed as Mary, Joseph, the shepards, kings, angels, the works.  But I’d have to same one of fave parts is that they give everyone a candle to light at the end of the service.  Well I’m fidgety by nature.  I’m constantly playing with something or other.  And don’t get me wrong…its not that I was bored, I just can’t help myself…this is what became of my candle 20 mins into the service (and yes…I did light it at the end)…

I learned that with a little bit of body heat and a bit of maneuvering, the candles become quite pliable.  I actually got many compliments on my work from strangers during the lighting.  My mom just shook her head and laughed and asked me how old I was going to be next week?  21. Yep.  Real mature Katye, Real Mature…

The Prize
