I’ve been relentlessly entering all your Road ID giveaways but no luck. But lucky for me, as many of you know, the great people at Road ID are very very generous to running bloggers. These awesome people sent me a Road ID and want to send one of you one as well! Not only did I really want one, but I really needed one as well. There just no excuse for running without ID and honestly this is the easiest, most accessible form! We all tend to think, it can’t happen to me, but the truth is anything can happen to any of us and being prepared can make all the difference.
So here’s what Road Id says…
Here are just few reasons why you should make Road ID part of your gear. For additional reasons, visit our testimonial page and read how Road ID is saving lives.
1. If you can’t speak for yourself, Road ID will speak for you.
2. Road ID enables First Responders to immediately contact family members and friends.
3. Road ID enables family members to provide additional details about your health or give consent for potentially life saving procedures.
4. Road ID enables hospital staff to locate vital medical records.
5. Road ID can communicate medical conditions or allergy information to medical staff.
6. Road ID can prevent serious delays in treatment by saving crucial time during the “golden hour” of medical treatment.
7. It’s far better to have Road ID and not need it than to need Road ID and not have it. It’s not just a piece of gear, it’s peace of mind.
8. Accidents happen far more than you think they do. Each year approximately 450,000 of us are taken to hospitals unconscious and without identification.
9. Road ID looks good on and makes a statement about your athletic lifestyle – not to mention that studies would probably prove that people that wear Road ID are considerably smarter than those that don’t.
10. Road ID can save your Life. Period.
They offer many different styles (I went with the Wrist ID Elite in green. I’d put a picture but well…putting my information and families phone numbers out there is probably not the wisest decision). And now you have the option to chose between the original format or interactive. With the original, you put all your information directly on the tag. With the interactive (great for people who move alot or have medical histories that may change often), you put your name and anything someone would need to know immediately, then the rest of the tag gives instructions for responders to call or go online for the rest of your information. Pretty cool huh?
“Awesome Katye! Now how do I enter?” Great question and I’m so happy you asked. You know the drill…
- Go to Road Id‘s site and let me know what product you would order and why you want an ID.
- Follow Me! Well wordpress doesn’t have a direct “follow” button but throw me on your blog roll or “blogs I read” or whatever you call it (+1)
- Become a Fan of Road ID on Facebook (+1)
- Tell me how fabulous I am. Go to my fundraising page HERE and read the stories about the special people I’m running for. Let me know something you relate to, something that touched you, or how you connect to the mission. You’re also welcome to leave a donation but that’s completely your choice =) (+1)
- Spread the word! Link back to this giveaway on your blog and send me the link =) Come back and tell me each time you mention it. (+1 each time)
So that’s a lot of ways to enter. The winner will be chosen through random.org next Friday, March 5th! The winner will receive a gift code good for any ID on the site! So good luck! And if you don’t win, you cans till order an ID and get $1 off with coupon code ThanksKatye622226

I am a follower. If I can figure out how to put you in my blog reel(don’t know if I have one), I will otherwise, know I follow you religiously everyday!
Just signed up as fan on facebook!
you’re in my blog roll
i would go with the original wrist bu tinteractive. we’re military and will move eventually, but with deploymetns and TDYs, and freinds moving, i need to change my emergency info frequently.
I would either get the wrist id elite-pink of course- or the shoe id because I am forgetful and might forget to put the bracelet on.
Faithful follower here
I am a fan on RoadID on facebook
I really need to get around to getting a Road ID. I like the Wrist ID elite because its plastic and not fabric so it wont be smelly cause I know that I sweat when I run.
I follow your blog in my google reader…I haven’t updated my blog roll on my blog page in a while because I just haven’t had time.
I want one of the Shoe IDs!
I am already a follower!!
I am a fan of RoadID on FB! And wordpress just told me that I am posting comments too quickly and to slow down. What the heck is that about?
You are linked on my sidebar!
and on my FB page! (can you tell I want to win?)
Lucky me, I just won a RoadId from Mel’s great giveaway! I am so glad. (So is my hubbs!) So I won’t steal a spot from someone else. Although winning one and giving it to some would be totally cool! So if you want to count me and on entry for being a follower, you can. I like the thought of winning and giving it to someone else to be safe!
I’m thinking an elite would be cool…any of them would be!
I follow ya!
I’m a fan on FB!
You’ve inspired me to run with TNT. Thanks for being an inspiration!
I linked your giveaway on my blog.
The show pouch Id – I can put my car key in it and I’d feel safer when running alone.

Just added your awesome blog to my blogroll!!
You are running for amazing reasons I doubt you ever run out of motivation to hit the pavement! I had a friend that I grew up with that took his own life about 6 years ago after his 4 year old only daughter passed away after a 2 year battle with Lukemia. I couldn’t even begin to imagine…. Happy and strong running to you!
I posted this giveaway to twitter too!
have been following you and had you on my blog roll for a while now….love it!!!
became a road ID facebook fan
i would get a black elite band because black goes with everything. i really really need one because i run a lot by myself and dont always bring ID with me…bad, bad, bad girl!!!!!
i connect with your mission because i too am a charity runner, running in honor of my daughter haley who has joubert syndrome (thats what my blog is all about). charity running is so fulfilling and really helps you feel like what you are doing is really benefiting someone besides yourself. you ROCK though…$20,000, you gotta tell me how you have been so successful!!!!!
You are on my blogroll!
I want the shoe ID. I have wanted one for so long! I feel more safe knowing I have my information right there in case something happens to me!
You know I’m a stalker…I mean…follower of your page. Can’t get enough of your enthusiasm! Also, if I were to purchase a Road ID I’d purchase the Road ID original wrist band in bright yellow so it could be seen and not mistaken for a bracelet or sport watch. I like the original because it gives me space for emergency numbers and the interactive does not. How often is someone going to find your body in a ditch and look up your Road ID website to help you out? Not likely. The number list is just easier. So that’s what I would order.
Just posted links on my blog and friended Road ID on Facebook! (too funny how “friend” is a verb now)
All of those stories are touching but I felt touched the most by Amanda Post. To have beaten her disease once and and to have it come back is devastating. I cannot begin to imagine the pain those who knew her went through during that time. Her family must feel so blessed to have someone as caring as you to carry on her memory through your running.
I’ve been thinking of ordering the Supernovas – not for me, but for my boys. They’d be great to have clipped on them during the summer nights when they run around and play close to the street.
Just added you to my blogroll:)
I like the wrist ID sport!
Facebook Fan of Road ID (and I forgot to say WHY I would want a Road ID, but I would like one because I do almost all of my running alone)

Haha. I would definitely get the original road ID that goes around your wrist!!
I like the wrist ID elite. I run alone for now and want to have something so if something happened to me and I wasn’t able to give necessary information to those who need it.
I have you on my blog list.
Have been a fan of road ID on facebook.
As a cancer survivor (Melanoma ’05) as well as lost 4 close relatives (Mother, both Grandmothers, and Aunt) and my dad is fighting still, I relate very much with your cause and effort. I always am moved and motivated by anything related to the “C” word.
posted about giveaway.
I changed gears a bit (more focused on my running goals) – so now I am a follower on my new blog.
I added you to my blogroll!!! Found you through Marcia at Running Off at the Mouth.

I love the Elite. It’s got a great rubberized, adjustable band. The colors are all great, but I’d have to stick with the black one.
I read up on your charity work and I think that what you’re doing is very admirable. I think that being able to run hally and in a healthy manner is a gift. By donating time and money to these organizations, you are sharing your gift with them. Giving back to people whom are fighting on a daily basis makes me realize that the simple act of running is a gift and we should never take it for granted.
I’ve posted two posts linking back to your giveaway!!
