Who wants a running skirt?

Of course you all do!  A few weeks ago I had contacted Cindy of the famous running skirts twins with some questions.  I’ve been looking to buy a running skirt for a while but because I’m weird about sizes I had some questions.  Not only did she help me, but she sent me a skirt to try out and is offering one of you a skirt of your choice!

So a little about the wonderful company…

“Our philosophy is that fitness fashion for women should be fashionable, flattering and (most importantly) functional…Hence the inspiration for our girly-girl designs.

As busy moms, we appreciate athletic wear that can comfortably go the distance, whether it be 5k, marathon, ultra-marathon or ironman triathlon or our own everyday “ironmom” triathlon: run, school & soccer or the  “ultra-mom” (run, coffee, school, office, lunch duty, office, school, soccer, ballet, swim, dinner, office).  Our skirts look great from dawn to dusk no matter what your day brings your way.

Running has never been so comfortable!  Made with a special sweat-wicking fabrics, our runner tested, high performance running skirts are very comfortable.  Unlike shorts, there is nothing to bunch between the legs.  These skirts are made without any interior seams that could cause rubbing and chaffing of your unmentionables (ouch!).  The running skirt and attached brief stays put in all the right places…the skirt doesn’t flip up and the briefs don’t ride up (no, your bum doesn’t show).   Our athletic skirt is made with compression shorts with longer inseams that stay put and don’t ride up when you workout.

We have been developing and testing these skirts for miles and miles over the last three years and highly recommend them to women of all ages that want to add a little more comfort and style to any workout!    We outfit women in all walks of live from our “mini skirts” kids line and teen cross country teams and first-time runners to endurance and elite athletes, ultra marathoners and track & field masters.  We are proud of top rated products and our commitment to high quality and continuous product improvement.  We appreciate our customer feedback and incorporate your suggestions and improvements into our designs each season.

Have fun and run fast…give the guys a new outlook on “chasing skirts”.

Happy Running!

Cindy & Christy”

And these ladies mean business.  They are both hardcore (and ridiculously fast) athletes.  They have also put alot of dedication into helping moms stay fit and empowered.  Cindy even chronicled her running through pregnancy and they have developed maternity skirts.  So pretty much they are awesome women helping other women! 1. OK, so I already own 15 of these skirt and they probably should be sponsoring me by now. In fact, why don’t you get a hold of Cindy again and mention that to her?

Anyway, I really want the white one, but they are ALWAYS out of stock in my size!

  2. Hey! I would want the athletic skirt in black and pool blue in size 2! I stay fit by running at least 3x week, doing zumba, and sometimes crossfit workouts (they are hardcore! ) My fav race was most def the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon with you!!! and you have all the pics :) Thanks!!

  3. You are on my blogroll and i am just writing a post about my love of running skirts!

Also, someone in my group that got selected for the CB 10 miler broke her arm and is in a cast. She probably won’t be up for running (and stinking) so I can see if she would give up her spot for you :)

  4. Oh, and the orange skirt with the lighter orange stripe down the side is my pick. As for staying feminine–I always try and wear something cute, be it a cute shirt, cute skirt or a nice little pony tail.

  5. I would definitely get the capri running skirt. Although I can be a girly girl sometimes, I like a little more coverage then a normal skirt provides. I’ve heard great things about these skirts.

  7. This is a continuaiton of the comment that said; I like the plain black one.

I’m particular about my clothes matching, my shorts, tops, hat, socks, etc (if I can). It’s a fashion statement as well as a run.

  8. I still love the pink plaid skirt and have coveting it for the longest time!!! i love to feel super feminine when running and love running in a skirt, being matchy-matchy, pigtails, and the brighter the colors the better!!!

  9. i would love their capri skirt. I don’t really think I stay that femine in everyday life much less when I workout so winning the great giveaway would definitely help.

  10. Since I follow your blog you will sho up on my limited blogroll when you have the most recent post.

I stay feminine by wearing makeup, girly colors, and adding bows and fun things when possible.

  11. I am pretty boring but I pretty much always wear black on the bottom. So I choose the black skirt. It is so fun to learn about what is out there for runners. Running blogs are way too addicting :) .

  12. I was supposed to put this in the comment about the pool blue skirt I like best and then the green plaid one, sorry, so I try and stay feminine by having my feet look nice since I am a barefoot runner and waterproof mascara is easy and stays on during a long sweaty run.

  13. I really like those skirts! I’d need to invest in some body glide before going out for a run in one :) My thighs have a little extra to love about them :) ANY WAY…..my favorite has to be either the princess skirts or the skirt camp. I love that parts of the sales go to support the soldiers!

  14. Courtney got me one of these skirts for Christmas and its GREAT, super comfy and the pockets are nice and roomy, I can even fit my phone in them!

  15. If I had my pick, I would go for the polka dotted skirt, I do love my polka dots! I stay feminine with the running skirts I already have, TONS of pink and the occasional tiara ;)

  16. I have never owned a running skirt and have been eyeing the black one at runningskirts.com because I know I would get the most use out of it. I would love to have it for my first 1/2 in April!!!:)

  17. I stay feminine by wearing alot of PINK. I love pink! and feel very girlie when I run in it! For races, I like to put on a little makeup to make myself feel “pretty” for the race! That way, for the pre and post pictures, I don’t look too bad!!!:)
Plus, a running skirt would make me feel that much more feminine!

  19. I am a fairly new runner and have never tried one of the running skirts although I have been very interested. Maybe I can win and give it a try!! I like the New Ultra Swift running skirt in aqua! Not too sure how I stay femine while running, I am a heavy sweater:( Check out my blog on my running journey(s) @ bobbie087.blogspot.com

  21. I love the pink plaid skirt, really any of the plaid ones are cute. I stay feminine usually by wearing something pink or purple and wearing a headband. I have short hair so sometimes I feel like I have to go over the top so people know I’m a woman.

  22. Hi!

I found this giveaway, thanks to Tall Mom on the Run! I am fairly new to running and have actually been drooling over these running skirts for a while now!

My favorite is the hautepink/pink. I stay girlie on runs by wearing bright, cheery colors and because my hair is short, I usually wear it in pig tails.

  23. My favorite is the Hautepink/Pink Running Skirt! I stay feminine when I work out by ALWAYS putting on Mascara (if I don’t I look like I am tired and part of not feeling tired is NOT looking tired!) I LOVE running and ran the St. George Marathon and Chicago Marathon. What a great BLOG!! I am crossing my fingers and hope I win :)

  24. I try to be girly by wearing Running Skirts and keep my hair in a ponytail. Some days, it is all about the ponytail.

I’m after the green plaid – if there are any left. It’s my school colour and the kids I coach will love it (and I can be a hardcore girly coach).

  26. I’m in love with their purple plaid running skirt (and not-so-secretly lusting after the floral maternity skirt!). I keep my workouts girly with pigtails (ALWAYS!) and purple (never ever ever any pink)!

  27. I’m really loving their Floral RunLove print golf skirt! Very cute.

I feel feminine working out with my LONG (up to my waist and still growing!) hair in a ponytail!

  29. I think running keeps me feeling feminine in general thanks the the endorphin boost I get that makes me feel great about myself the rest of the day. I also wear mascara for every race I do (waterproof of course). I like the cheetah running skirt the best.
