As promised, today is a day to pick my first winner of the raffle!  Those of you who donated before midnight yesterday had a second chance to win big =).  So after today’s tragic run (read about it in the next post) I needed a bit of a pick me up.  So I spent a decent amount of time gathering all the entries (from the donations, and then the extras you guys earned for various other comments/linking back/sharing/etc.)  158 entries!  Wow that’s pretty awesome!  So I headed to random.org and well…it hated me.  I kept getting an error message saying “service temporarily unavailable”.  So I googled some other random number generators, but they instructed me to do things involved words like “integers” and “variables” so yep not going there.  So what did I do?  I decided to declare myself the winner and keep it all.  Thanks for playing!

No of course I didn’t do that!  What I did do however, is do it the old fashion way.  AKA cut up strips of paper, wrote out all yalls names on the correct amount of pieces, folded them in half, and stuck them in a shoe box.  Yep.  I wrote out 158 names =).  So I put all the entries in a box…

So Princess Peanut (3 year old goddaughter) was over our house so I let her pick the winner.  I held the box over her head, she reached a little arm up, and after feeling around for a good few mins finally picked a paper.  She handed me the paper and I literally laughed out loud when I read the paper…
