Ok so I know its Hott or Nott Humpday but I made up the post and it ended up more Nott and Hott. So I decided to save you all the rant and deleted it and decided to post a giveaway instead. You can thank me =)
So what’s up for grabs this time? Two things! Two giveaways in one =) A Road ID of your choice and/or 2XU compression calf guards (size small). So first a little bit about the two great companies.
Road ID
“Our mission is two fold: One, to educate outdoor enthusiasts (runners, cyclists, triathletes, skiers, snow boarders, kayakers, walkers, and anyone that doesn’t spend all of their time on the couch) about the importance of wearing ID. Two, to provide these athletes with innovative identification products that they will want to include as part of their gear.”-www.roadid.com
Road ID offers a variety of awesome products to keep you safe! They come in many different versions to be worn in various ways in a variety of great colors so your ID is completely your own! I have the Wrist ID Elite in Green and it pretty much never comes off. I love it! Check out their site to see what would work best for you.
2XU Compression Calf Guards
“Targeting the calf muscle, calf guards are a great muscle containment devise that can be worn during training or competition. Using 2XU’s exclusive 50D/CK fabric that is also used in our leading compression tights, calf guards protect against leg fatigue and muscle soreness. An essential training tool for people who need extra support through their calf region when working out, the calf guards are also available with a foot stirrup for sports demanding shin protection or for when support for the Achilles region is required.”-www.2XU.com
I have worn my calf guards both during and after long runs and races and have found great relief from both! They are also a great option for those who want the compression of a compression/recovery sock but still want to wear their favorite running socks. They are also great if you like to wear flip flop post race/run (like me).
These are a size small in black. They are also reflective!
So how do you enter? Like I said…these are two seperate giveaways in one so you can enter either both, just the Road ID or just the Calf Guards…
Whether you are entering one or both of the giveaways do the following required entries…
- Leave a comment letting me know what you are entering
- Tell me something really interesting about yourself that you probably haven’t shared on your blog before (I will make a fun post out of all these soon)
- Share this giveaway with others on your blog! Leave me a comment with the link =)
- Enter my Virtual “Finish Chelsea’s Run“! (not required but you will be happy you did!)
- Do the following required entry/entries for the giveaway/giveaways you are entering =)
For the Road ID (required)…
- Let me know which product you would order if you won and Come up with some creative reason why you should win the Road ID (leave both in one comment)
For the Calf Guards…
- Leave a comment with some creative reason why you should win the Calf Guards
Winner/winners will be chosen Wednesday 6/2 (National Running Day!) No random.org on this one. I’m picking the winner based off of what answer I like best =) So you could win one or both of the items if you get creative or just have a really good reason =)

Yipee! I’m first. I would like to enter both giveaways please.
Here’s something interesting (strange/odd/quirky) about me… I always get dressed from the bottom up. I start with my socks, then unders, pants, bra, shirt… When I undress, though, I do it in reverse. I never realized that I always did it the same way until my husband brought it to my attention a few years ago.
I talked you up in my post here: http://lauriehiggins.blogspot.com/2010/05/on-mend-hopefully.html
and am also giving you some linky love on my sidebar.
If I were to win the Road ID I would get the Wrist ID Elite in Yellow… I love bright colors, they make me so happy! As for why I should win it… Without the Road ID, by the time rescue people discovered my cell phone with my emergency info in it hidden between my two sports bras I would’ve already been late waking everyone up to get ready for school (husband included). They’d have to miss out on breakfast and probably go in their jammies, which could leave them traumatized for the rest of their lives… okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic and extreme but I’d really love to win one, I’ve been wanting one for a while now.
It’s not very creative, in fact it’s really pretty boring but I think I should win the calf guards because I’ve been having some Achilles issues and I like that they have the option with foot stirrups. I would feel kind of goofy wearing them… like straight out of my elementary school days when stirrup pants and oversized sweatshirts were the way to go… but I’m sure they would feel great.
I would love to enter for both! Thanks
I am oddly talented at removing knots from necklace chains. Yeah, that was totally random.
I would love the shoe ID because I usually run alone on our local trail system and I really like the idea that someone could find out who to contact if anything happened to me!
Hmmmm, lets see…I need the calf guards cause I have a bunch of little ankle biters (aka kiddoes) in my house and I need some protection…LOL!
Oh, I really want the calf guards! I never thought about the fact that I always put on flip flops after races when it’s warm and compression socks wouldn’t work with flip flops.
I also want to enter the RoadID giveaway because I’m due for a new one.
An interesting thing about me: I can’t exercise if my teeth aren’t clean. I always brush my teeth before running. If I can’t, then I chew some minty gum or have a mint…but neither are as good as using my toothbrush.
I put your giveaway up on my blog (check the sidebar right at the top).
I’m not terribly creative, but here goes. Road ID: I’d get the wrist ID Elite in Red. I so love red. I’m teaching my kids all the numbers and information they need to know, so on runs we work on these things. They like looking at all my running things and read my current Road ID, which doesn’t have ADP’s phone number, so the kids are missing one vital piece of information: their dad’s phone number (which even I don’t have memorized…oops).
Once again, I’m not creative, but here goes. Calf Guards: I’ve been having troubles with an almost-cramp in my right calf when I run lately. The calf guards would definitely help. Plus, we saw lots of these things on the Ragnar Relay and they didn’t get them…if I win I can tell my teammates all about how GREAT calf guards are!
I would like to enter both giveaways!
Hmm…something fun about me…I drink coffee every morning but I really don’t drink it for the caffeine. I just love having something warm to drink in the mornings.
I would like to enter the giveaways!
I already have a wrist ID in purple and would love to get one for one of my running buddies! They are soooo important to have! I used to carry my license in that little pouch in my running shorts, but the road id is soooo much cuter and doesn’t stick to me from sweat!
I have been wanting the Wrist ID elite for a long time. I honestly think having the Road ID would be very fashionable not just for running. I think I would wear it to work and out on the town. I mean you never know when something bad could happen. Its good to have the ID on me at all times.
Something fun…I LOVE Smores! LOVE THEM. I try not to eat them too often, but will take two graham crackers, ANY kind of chocolate (chocolate chips, mini hershey bars…whatever I can find) and a marshmallow, stick it all in the microwave for 20 seconds and then enjoy. Yum.
I need the calf guards because my right calf and foot is so much tighter than the left. I eat bananas, I drink water, I foam roll but nothing seems to relieve my tight muscles. It would be great to not have both legs feel relaxed.
I would like to enter the 2xu giveaway!
I never realize how short I am until I see a picture of me standing next to a normal sized person.
I am doing Chelsea’s run!
I need the calf guards because I have a bad left calf that I have been wrapping with this sticky wrap for compression that leaves all of these weird indentations on my skin and gets really itchy and just doesn’t look cool. I have a Road ID – awesome give away!
I want to sign up for both but especially the RoadID!
I won a “Don’t Drive Drunk” poster contest when I was in 4th grade. If I remember correctly I won some money.
OHHH the 2X compression is so what I need
I am trying to Road ID the whole fam. Myself and my oldest son Sam are hooked up and now its time to get one for my son Jupiter.
He is nonverbal and has autism so even if here were lost he would not be able to tell anyone let alone if something happened to him.
He used to have a shoe ID from a different company but it was never renewed after our last move.
I think he would like the red one. It would match his bright red crocs!
Hmm something I actually haven’t shared…When I first started eating Kashi cereal 4 or so years ago it gave me horrible gas because of the high fiber and the texture of the cereal, that was pretty embarrassing since I was still only dating the now hubs
The calf guards are perfect for a barefoot runner like lil ol me! They are the bees knees
I would like the calf guards because I have an issue with twitching calf muscles after my long runs and it seems this would help them to heal and recover with less pain
I linked up this giveaway to my blogs sidebar!
I am signed up for Chelseas Run too
you are linked on my side bar
i’m interested in both!
something interesting?? umm…my dad named 2 streets in my town after me and my sister, Bethany Lane and Laura Lane. My last name is also my parents’ street name. When i get married (1 year from today) i will NOT miss people asking me my first and last name and then my address and being like “you live on a street named after yourself?!?!” annoying after 25 years! but i will miss no longer being BRB. i will be BRC.
i did my virtual CHelsea’s run yesterday!!!!!!! should i tell you more about it? what do i do now that i’m done? i took one picture of my garmin afterwards for proof
I like the wrist roadID but i’d probably get the shoe one because…
I am planning on wearing running shoes for my wedding so i would get a shoe one that says bethany couto in blue and it can be my something blue.
my mom won’t like this idea AT ALL, lol
i should win the calf guards so i can look cool and more importantly fast. it will be great for psyching out the competition!
I’d love the socks, I already own a road ID and love it!
Ok. here it is, I own a stripper pole. I have never been to a club, been a stripper, it was a deal I made with my husband. He would not get an ugly recliner for our house and I’d get the pole.
I need the calf guards because I have been having shin splints all of a sudden when running outside. I really think these will help then not feel like they are going to explode.
I would love to win the Road ID. Right now, I have the pink Road ID, but just like Tonia at Racing with Babes, I would love to have one in all colors to match all of my outfits, and because you and Tonia are such GREAT friends, and I am trying to be like Tonia and match my Road ID’s to my outfits, I think I should win!!! Plus, she wears really cool socks too, and is an amazing runner, so maybe if I own as many Road ID’s as she does, then I can wear really cool socks, and that will all make me run just as fast and as long as Tonia!!! (am I becoming obsessed with Tonia now???…not really, but I really want to win the Road ID!)
I want to enter the Road ID!!
I would love to win the compression calf guards because well, my calves always wanted their own guards…I mean, I have kick boxing gloves for my hands, an I-pod wrap for my arm, a Bondi Band for my head, ear buds for my ears, and running socks for my feet, but my calves have always felt left out. So, if I could win the calf guards, my calf’s would be in hog heaven…or cow heaven, or whatever you want to call it!
Thanks for the fun giveaways!
I put bananas on my peanut butter sandwiches!!
I have posted a link on my blog!!
Something interesting about myself….
I was bit by a bat when I was younger, while fishing! I had to go to the doctor, and the only thing they could come up with, is that it was a bat….so,I guess I am kinda a vampire!
I would order the orange RoadID elite. And I think I should win because I am at the end of my rope in family issues/crap to deal with! I would blog about this more, but my family reads my blog. (if interested in more details- just email me. Always looking for new friends to “enlighten” LOL!) And I need to RoadID so if something happened to me while running or just while dealing with family, the EMT would know that Sulfa is a NO-NO and that Sports Asthma is a problem. ;o)
I am almost 61 years old and about 18 months ago the doctor told me to lose 100 pounds or die. I made the decision all on my own to diet. I have to date lost 90 plus pounds, not at the 100 pound mark but getting there. I have a beautiful daughter in law who is an avid runner so after talking to her I started a walking program. Because I live in a hellish place winters are hard on me mentally so I walk only in the spring and summer. We are sill having snow but I have been able to walk for two weeks now and I love it. I walk just over two miles and I am sure my daughter could run a marathon in the time I do a 5K but it is working. The thing I dislike about walking is that my husband wants me to take a cell phone, stick and a gun with me leaving no room for ID. The ID bracelet would be great. I would like it in a bright color such as yellow or green. Those are football colors afterall.
I will enter the calf guards giveaway just so I could regift them to my daughter in law Laurie, with the understanding that when I loose all my weight which is another 50 pounds I can borrow them when I do a 5K. We both win that way and it will be a great motivater to keep dieting, exercising, walking and getting healthy. Thanks for your giveaways and for this blog.
I’m entering both- and will link it up on my bloggy!!
I would like to win the shoe id in blue (War Eagle) mainly becuase I would be more than likely to forget a wrist id so if it is on my shoes it will always be there.. I need it because I run alone alot and therefore if I get mugged or dead someone can call my husband.. lol ok so that’s not very creative just true…
I would LOVE to try the compression calf gaurds. I have never tried anything like that and think it would be very helpful for my legs after a run when I am sore. I also wear flipflops following a race (I mean who keeps their shoes on!?) If I win them I will come up with a very creative outfit and wear them around town and take pictures!!! how about dem apples?
Ok weird thing about me that I obviously did not post online- and this should win me it
is that when I was a younger teenage I took a Mime class and actually preformed once as a mime… lol now if you know me and how much I talk you would see the humor in that
I’m entering the Road ID giveaway! trying to think of something interesting about myself… hmm…. I really, REALLY dislike cold food. I mean, if it’s supposed to be cold, like a salad or something, that’s ok, but a full meal should have something hot in it, the salad should be just the appetizer. And, if it’s supposed to be hot (like chicken, chinese food, pizza, etc) IT NEEDS TO BE HOT! I can’t eat that stuff cold.
Adding a link to the giveaway on a post that queued up for Saturday.
For the roadid, I would love to have the one that allows you to enter your info and change it. I got divorced in 2006, changed my name back to my maiden in 2007, got married again in 2009… And every time I did those things I moved! My information changes too often to have it hard printed !!
I’m going to do Chelsea’s Run! I just sent you an email.
I linked you on my sidebar! When are you coming to VA?
just found your blog.. LOVE IT!
I would love to enter for the compression socks..
shin splints like no bodies business!
somthing interesting..
I have 4 baby teeth with no adult teeth under them (Im 28yrs old). My mom & grandma are the same way
I reallllllyyyyy need the calf guards…
I love running and have had shin splints really bad and haven’t been able to run like i would like.. I went to buy some, found out my dog was sick, $500 later, calf guards were not in the budget!
I love road id products. I’ve bought 5 as gifts, including one for each of my girls ages 2 & 4.
I really need to buy a wrist one for myself in red.
I particiapted in chelsea’s race
something interesting I haven[t shared on my blog…I am a weld engineer. One of three in my whole company of 125K people.
I’m adding you to the side bar of my blog, under g ive aways.
megan-corey.blogspot.com
I want the road id
something interesting about me? I hate lima beans! So much so that when I was little I would hide them in my milk so that I wouldn’t have to eat them…
I would order the red road id. I totally think that I should win because I run on remote country roads and need as much in the way of safety equipment as possible.
I would like to enter the Road ID giveaway!
The reason I would like to win the Road ID is for pure safety. I realize they look “cool” but I really want one for safety reasons. Buying on is on my “gear” list when finances allow.
In the meantime, winning one would make me safety much more quickly!
I usually run alone and as my distance increases so does how long I am out there. Road ID would give me the peace of mind I need.
Something interesting about myself….
Hate doing the dishes. Hate doing laundry.
LOVE cleaning the bathroom.
Bizarre, but go figure. We all gotta do chores!
I would love to win the compression sleeves –
I’ve been running for 2 years and I developed shin splints only 3 weeks after I began. I’ve been dealing with calf and shin problems the entire time I’ve been running, so I’m on a mission to try every kind of compression gear.
I actually ordered the 2xU sleeves once, but I measured wrong and ordered XS, so I had to send them back. The smalls would be perfect!! =)
I linked your giveaway in my blog: http://superfoodsuperfood.wordpress.com/giveaways
Something interesting I’ve never shared in my blog?
At age 5, I made brownies (from scratch) by myself because my mom would not get off her conference call.
I live out in the middle of nowhere….there are all kinds of scary things that can happen to me. Not only could I get eaten by a coyote, bitten by a snake, or chased by a wild dog, but I could potenitally get lost in a random cow pasture. (don’t step in the piles, it will cut your foot!) anyway, there are many different things that could happen to me out here on these dirt roads, so i think a fun girlie pink arm roadid or shoe roadid would be great for me! (I say pink becuase there isnt much pink in a cornfield, so i could be easily spotted by medical professionals!)
something people don’t know about me:
I have never broken a bone!
I would like to enter the road id giveaway!
I should win the calf guards because I don’t have any and I am a total wannabe hardcore cool looking runner with sweet looking calf guards to add to my awesomeness…or trying to be!
I would like to enter both giveaways.
I have to add that I found your blog not long ago and love it!
Pingback: School’s Out for summer!!! « Running With Sass
I linked you back to my blog post
http://runningwithsass.com/2010/05/27/schools-out-for-summer/
Something interesting about me is that I graduated from a class of only 36 people. At the time we were the biggest class in the school.
I would get the purple wrist elite. I need an road id because I run alone all the time and I live in the city where there are way too many crazy people and crazy drivers out there and you never know what might happen. (sorry I’m not creative at all)
I need the calf sleeves because I have nothing of the sort and have had bad experiences with shin splints in the past and am definitely trying to avoid them this time around.
I’m entering for the road ID. My calves are too big for the size small sleeves!
Something interesting… I have naturally curly/wavy hair and my brother’s (now ex) wife used to help me perm it straight – until we almost melted my hair. It was literally gooey. I had it professionally straightened there after.
Now I have 4 kids and can’t afford to do anything like that AND support my running habit so I rarely get my hair cut and don’t even color it anymore. A girl has to have priorities.
I linked this on my blog
I would love the black shoe ID. I’m pretty forgetful and if it’s already attached to my shoe,I won’t forget to wear it.
As for why… The route I run goes right through the middle of a dairy and ag farm (smells divine when they spread the ‘fertilizer’ on the fields!). The bull calves are kept in a field near the road and they run along the fence with me as I run by.
I need a Road ID in case they break through the fence and trample me.
I want to enter both!
I would like the RoadID elite as I got one for my hubs but not me…it is time to start worrying about myself for a change.
I’ve been looking for a post like this feorevr (and a day)
Something fun about me…..I cannot sing AT.ALL…I won’t even sing Happy Birthday but when I am on my own? Watch out..I am a rock star.
I want the calf guards..as I feel like now I am a ‘real’ runner and want to start my next bout of marathon training with some new, fun gear.
Pingback: Giveaways « My First 5K Blog
I’m in! For both please…
I would order the wrist ID elite in orange…
My calves (no matter how much I stretch) are tight after runs. This morning, it took more than a mile fore them to loosen up
I’m running for Chelsea!
hmmm, something interesting…I love almost all vegetables, but I cannot eat peas. I won’t even make them for my kids. When I was little, I would swallow them like aspirin to avoid chewing them…
I would like to enter both giveaways, please!
Something interesting about myself that’s not on my blog … well, I don’t have a blog so I guess I could share anything. I hate to wake up early except on vacation. Every day I’m in a new place, I inexplicably wake up early and rarin’ to go.
For the Road ID, I’d get the Road ID Elite in green. I should win the Road ID because it’s not fair that my dog has an ID tag, and I don’t. Furthermore, if ever I’m injured while running with him, they will see that his emergency contact is me. Emergency responders will just call me and not someone who can help us.
I should win the calf guards because my calves just might be my best body part, and I need to do my best to keep ‘em lookin’ good.
Pingback: 7 Things Saturday aka Complete Randomness « Long Legs on the Loose: Living, Loving, Running, and Praying
I am in for the Road ID. My big ole’ calves hurt just thinking about those small calf guards!
I would get the Elite Road ID in Pink or Purple. I have been looking at one forever and this would really help it.
Why do I deserve it? Did you not see me rock my first half this weekend?!? I am the shuffling queen of the hills!
In all seriousnes, since getting bitten by this running bug I have lost 40 lbs and hope to lose another 30 and I owe it all to running distances. I love going for long runs, but often times must go by myself. As much as I try an avoid it, I run through some pretty secluded and sketchy areas. I would love to have the Road ID with interactive so if, heaven forbid, something happen, I would have that piece of mind that somene would be able to identify me and alert my husband.
You are on my blogroll.
I am posting this giveaway on my blog (as much as it pains me to do so)
A random fact about me…horribly embarassing, but when I was 5 or 6, we were driving to Maryland from Iowa for the holidays. My parents showed us map of all the states we would be going through. I fully expected all of the houses to be gigantic pencils. Erasers were garages…I had a vivid imagination!
enter me for the calf guards please.
I’d like to try them because my calves tend to get ornery when I moooove them alot!
I linked you on my blog
Odd fact about me is I have titanium and kevlar somewhere in my body. Bionic woman anyone?
I would love to win both. But I’m more interested in the calf guards. I’ve been having terrible issues with one of my achilles. I just started training for a marathon and would love anything to help.
I’m entering!
I’d like the calf guards because I haven’t seen them before, and my boys have shin guards for soccer and I feel left out.
I’d like the Road ID because I have this thing about colour coordinating what I wear – even if I’m going out to sweat. I have a lovely purple Road ID that I love but it clearly clashes with some of my running gear so I don’t always want to wear it. The fashion-sense in me is screaming for a new Road ID so that I can safely be colour-coordinated!
Something interesting about me? Hmm, that’s tough because I’m really quite boring.
So, here it goes: I love laundry. It is my favorite household chore. It’s a good thing that my boys and I are active, and it’s a good thing that we love to change our clothes every day because both mean that I have a constant supply of clothes to be washed!
I linked you into my blog.

I have been wanting a RoadID for a while now, so that is the giveaway I want to enter.
I have linked your giveaway on my sidebar.
Your blog is so cute! I am now a follower.
Forgot the link for my blog sidebar…….
healthyhappyness.blogspot.com
WHEN I win the RoadID giveaway (must believe it to receive it!!
), I am going to get the PINK one.
I need a RoadID so that when I am completing my runs that T assigns to me and I wither away from sweat and exhaustion, they will know who to notify. HeeHee! I <3 T!!
I am going to school to be a RN and I have decided that my graduation gift to ME is a puppy. I haven’t had a dog in 4 years and I miss it SO much! But I don’t want just ANY dog, I want a DOG – a Mastiff (the biggest dog breed out there).
What is funny is that knowing that this is what I get as my “prize” frequently comes to mind and keeps me moving forward. I know…..not my kids or providing for the family or caring for others, but….my puppy.
And his name, you ask? Buddah
For the RoadId I would pick the wristId Elite. I just ordered my first one of the regular wrist Id. Thinking it is important to have especially since hot weather is upon us runners!
For the calf guards, I don’t have any and would like to see the difference they make
Linked it on my blog
My interesting fact is my husband & I started dating as freshman in High School. I knew it was meant to be on the very first date, I told my mom not too long after that was going to be the man I married!
I would like to enter for both the ID and the guards.
Interesting (or gross?) comment: I have a black toenail that has been “healing” since October. The sad thing is that I didn’t even get it from running, but from an ill-fitting pair of ballet flats. Now that I’m starting marathon training I’ve given up all hope of it ever getting better.
You’re linked on my sidebar @ running42km.blogspot.com
I want the ankle ID since I already have a hrm watch on one wrist.
I need the ID because right now I’m carrying my information on a post-it in my shorts pocket (ew, soggy paper) so I don’t chance losing my real ID.
I would like the calf guards since I’m upping my distance and need the recovery aspect of them. I also think that they’d be a great way to hide my hairy legs if I haven’t had a chance to shave.

I would like to enter for the Road Id please!
What I haven’t mentioned on my blog before is that I don’t have a drivers license. It makes having to get around quickly on your feet a big deal.
I want the ankle road id. I run alot in the early morning or late evening and I need to be safer.
We have a special offer (35% off) all 2XU (two times you) clothing.
I personally use it after any long run to aid in recovery and think the equipment is great.
Look at their website for tones of information on how it works. Its very impressive
